Shirley Sherrod

Shirley Sherrod is a victim of NAACP

She still just doesn't get it. Not only did she bring all this on herself by her racist comments about "his own kind," now she refers to "people of color." Should we again call blacks colored and wouldn't that be condemned as racist? Furthermore, everybody is a person of color (yes, white is a color) unless you want to get technical since black is the absence of color!

Actually, the hypocrisy of the racist NAACP is what is under fire since they've created a hostile climate and hypersensitivity. I don't care if Mrs. Sherrod refers to some person of white color being helped by one of "his own kind," because blacks certainly aren't one of "his kind." Folks know this but are foolishly intimidated to deny our differences.

If Shirley Sherrod does meet with the president usurper, let her ask him about his Kenyan birth certificate.

Women preachers are in rebellion

I just read an abominable article written by a proud and stubborn woman attempting to justify rebellious women doing what only God has ordained men to do: preach from the pulpit as ordained ministers.

A Jewish Homeland

Weren't the Jews prophesied to return to Israel? Are the Jews ethnic Jews or merely converts? How should Israel treat their resident Arabs? Why does the world focus on Jerusalem?

A Jewish Homeland

Vision of the Kingdom of God

If I may, as God is my Witness and Judge, when I was only 17 years young, God UNEXPECTEDLY gave me a VISION while I was in prayer. I was within that vision as a glorified Spirit-Being, whiter than glistening snow and like a brilliant white cloud with the sun shining on it, appearing smooth, dressed in a white robe - even my hair was that brilliant white - holding a Book in my hands and teaching two flesh and blood mortals who were sitting on the ground, in an outdoor setting like a park or meadow.)

Commentary: "Stolen water is sweet"
The commercial was ending as I returned with my snack into the living room. The website address and the catch phrase remained on the screen like a stain on the carpet.  "Life is short. Have an affair," read the website's catch phrase. My shock was entangled with confusion and disbelief. Was this a crude joke? Did I just see an advertisement promoting an extra-marital affair? Has the concept of "Whatever happens here stays here" overtaken every aspect of life? Read more

Black Hypocrites: Move to Africa!

 Whitewashing Black Racism
By Michelle Malkin
Why haven’t national media outlets reported on the vile and violent rants of the New Black Panther Party thugs whose 2008 voter intimidation tactics got a pass from the Obama administration? Simple: Radical black racism doesn'’t fit the Hope and Change narrative.

**********

Such black fools fulfill many stereotypes about black people. If they hate people of white color so much, then let them return to Africa where they belong; let them stop wearing clothes made possible by white inventions and using electricity and running water and driving cars or taking buses or listening to the radio or television, etc. Their dark hearts and mindsets are already primitive, so let them stop being such hypocrites and go all the way and live in huts and wear grass skirts and fight other black African tribes like they have gangs here. Good riddance!

Member Letter from Dennis Luker

Member Letter from Dennis Luker

July 1, 2010 Dear Brethren in Christ,

Challenge and opportunity. In my first letter to you as the new president of the United Church of God, I have much to discuss. As we read the accounts of the first-century Church of God in the New Testament, these twin themes of challenge and opportunity appear again and again.

Christ commands us to rejoice when we suffer trials as a result of our beliefs—for standing up for Sabbath keeping, for observing the same biblical festivals that the apostles and early Church did, for rejecting the many pagan practices that crept in centuries after Christ, for loving and forgiving one another when so-called conventional wisdom says we should exact revenge and strike back. This present world, submitting to the authority of the fallen archangel Satan, hates these things. When we stiffen up against the ways of this world and follow the living Head of this Church, Jesus Christ, we are blessed even though a deceived world may think we are cursed.

As we set a lasting example of love and obedience that will be remembered long into the coming Kingdom of God, we must be careful not to fall prey today to resentful thoughts, motivations born of pride or emotional impulses that can lead us astray. We cannot allow ourselves to become lax and deceived—for as Peter wrote, “Your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). Many of you, like my wife, LeeAnn, and me, have been active members of the Church of God for years, perhaps decades.

As longtime members and servants, we’ve unfortunately sometimes seen this spiritual tragedy unfold among people who should know better. Today (in fact for months as we’ve recently learned), this tragedy is repeating itself in part in Latin America.

You’ve probably already read or heard that the Council of Elders recently directly intervened in Latin America and ordered the removal of Leon Walker as the regional coordinator for that area. Mr. Walker has served for many years as a teacher and an administrator, and both out of respect for that prior service and for the hope that he might see the scope of the terrible spiritual errors that were being committed, we deliberately refrained from providing details earlier. Given recent actions, we must now disclose the full scope of this emerging tragedy.

As president, it is my sad duty to inform you that Mr. Walker and most ministers in Latin America are now openly attempting to divide our members in the region, and have to a certain degree attempted to enlist the support of members and ministers in the United States. Together with the Council of Elders, we in this administration are moving swiftly to protect our members and our Church, and we will do so with the full authority and power available to us. To those few who falsely think that the United Church of God is not being directly led in full authority by Jesus Christ, I must warn those who embrace a spirit of rebellion that appropriate action will be taken.

This is a serious situation that deserves and requires your earnest prayers. As I wrote recently to ministers, we are making a considerable amount of documentation about the Latin America situation available to you and our ministers, which discloses the truth of the matter and refutes in detail the false charges and allegations made by others. (If you desire more information about how this tragic situation came about, you can read further background information for yourself online at the UCG members Web site later on Friday at members.ucg.org, or click on this file “Background to Leon Walker and Latin America,” or call or write for a paper copy.) In the interest of accountability and full disclosure, it is a lengthy document. It is not pleasant reading, particularly when one can openly see how trust was betrayed and shattered.

Let me speak plainly. I personally have known and worked with Leon Walker for many years, and it grieves me deeply to read his own words that attempt to divide and pull away our ministers and brethren in Latin America. It also personally makes my heart ache to know now that these divisive activities have been going on for months, including efforts to wrongly influence ballots for the Council of Elders.

Brethren, let me be clear: This type of deceived governance led by a well-respected man represents the very reason that hundreds of ministers collectively chose some 15 years ago to embrace and refine the administrative structure that we now have. We have seen the destructive outcomes that “one man rule” in a Church of God organization can wreak, and this current experience in Latin America underscores the reason we changed our model of governance 15 years ago to include safeguards from this happening again. I believe both that Christ led us collectively to embrace the form of Church government that we now have, and that He has blessed and sustained us even amidst the challenges we have experienced over the past decade and a half.

We have the faithful and unbreakable promise from the true Head of this Church that the gates of the grave “shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18)—that it will never die out. As we collectively yield and surrender our individual wills to God’s perfect will, this Church will not only survive, it will prosper and grow!

It is also no surprise, that we read over and over again throughout the Bible that we are to pursue with all of our might that important spiritual quality of love—love for God and love for our brothers and sisters in the Church of God (Matthew 22:35-40). True love promotes unity. True love comes from spiritual surrender, from turning our lives over to the living God, from yielding our self-will to His divine will.

As you all well know, it is easy to quench love with unnecessary anxiety and fear. To combat this, Jesus Himself directs us: “Do not worry about your life… Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” (Luke 12:22, 25, New International Version throughout). He underscores this by adding, “Since you cannot do this very little thing [adding an hour to your life], why do you worry about the rest?” (verse 26, emphasis added throughout).

Illustrating the mighty power available to Him, Christ noted that it was a “very little thing” for Him to have the capacity to expand our length of life, something for which we have no ability or capacity. In this same context, He tells us what to do when fearful or anxious: “Seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well” (verse 31).

As we seek His Kingdom, we as members must offer up our lives as “living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God,” which as Paul describes, is our “spiritual act of worship” (Romans 12:1).

We know what makes the Church grow. We know that when we are in the active process of spiritually transforming our minds and yielding to God, then we can actually “test and approve what God’s will is” (Romans 12:2). When we know what God’s will is, then we can confidently yield and follow the leadership of Christ in achieving the mission we were all called to support and accomplish—that of preaching the gospel and preparing a people for His coming Kingdom.

You may have read or heard of the open door set before us to air our Beyond Today TV program nationwide on WGN America beginning July 11. I wish that you could see and feel the energy and enthusiasm at the home office as our production team and presenters prepare for that amazing and exciting long-awaited opportunity.

To succeed in our mission and grow, we must continue to have your prayers and your positive living example. This present evil world must be able to see God’s way of life in action. We must daily demonstrate how this way of life is indeed possible, even in the midst of the chaos, fear and greed that encompasses most of this age.

In conclusion, I would like to emphasize the words of Paul, where he states, “I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power…to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ…that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God” (Ephesians 3:17-19, NIV).

In deep Christian love,

Dennis Luker, President

UCG Elects Dennis Luker as President

UCG Elects Dennis Luker as President

COGwriter
The United Church of God announced today that it elected Dennis Luker as its new president.  Here is what UCG reported:
June 24, 2010
Council of Elders Chooses President
The Council of Elders of the United Church of God, an International Association, chose Dennis Luker, longtime minister currently living in Bothell, Washington, as president at the conclusion of two days of interviews and discussions June 23 and 24.
Mr. Luker was chosen from a list of four finalists that included Gary Antion, Bill Bradford, Roy Holladay and Dennis Luker. This list was narrowed down from a list that initially numbered 39 nominees recommended by UCG elders.
Mr. Luker assumes office immediately. The Council wishes to express its deep appreciation to Mr. Holladay, who as chairman of the Council served as interim president over recent months in accordance with the UCG Constitution and Bylaws. He will assist Mr. Luker in a transition period over the next few weeks.
The Council, as the governing board of the United Church of God, congratulates Mr. Luker and looks forward to working with him in the coming years.
David M. Johnson, Secretary
I did not believe that Roy Holladay, based upon various statements reported here would get the job this time.
I believe I met Dennis Luke once once quite a few years ago.  What this will mean for UCG’s future is unclear, to me at least, at this time.  Other than I suspect that he will not be UCG’s last president, based on UCG’s prior history.

It really should be a MUST READ for current and former WCG/GCI members or any interested in supporting the faithful church. It also explains a lot of what the COGs are all about.

Should the Church Still Try to Place its Top Priority on Proclaiming the Gospel or Did Herbert W. Armstrong Change that Priority for the Work? Some say the Church should mainly feed the flock now as that is what Herbert W. Armstrong reportedly said. Is that what he said? Is that what the Bible says? What did Paul and Herbert W. Armstrong expect from evangelists?

Speaking of Colossians 2:16

It's ironic that those who would foolishly condemn keeping the biblical festivals are steeped in the whitewashed paganism of the Babylonian Mystery Religion (with its baptized paganism, its hollow daze) and refuse to see anything wrong with their spiritual adultery and idolatry!

"[Paul] warned the brethren not to be intimidated by some who were questioning their manner of keeping God's feasts, as well as the Sabbaths, new moons, and eating and drinking. He said, "So let no one judge [criticize or condemn] you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come . . . Let no one cheat you of your reward ..." (Colossians 2:16-18).

Paul was combating a group of ascetics who were introducing several strange doctrines, including worshiping angels (verse 18) and abstaining from wholesome food and drink (verse 21). He told the brethren to ignore them and continue observing what he had taught (and he certainly taught keeping the Passover, as we have seen). Regrettably, the Colossian brethren had been cowed by these self-righteous intruders and were starting to shy away from observing these feasts.

So Paul mentions how important they are, as foreshadowing coming events in God's plan for mankind. These events have not been completely accomplished so far, and many are still in the future."

Blood and Birth

Obama: Being American is 'not a matter of blood or birth'

matter of blood or birth
Should we expect anything different from the African bastard?

Obama's driven to destroy America

Ideally, being an American would be predominately based upon these factors:

The United States by Grand Design (White and Christian)

Renew America by Restoring White Dominance

Obama's driven to destroy America

"Whom God would destroy, He first sends mad." The United States elected a lie, clearly under strong delusion, and are now suffering the consequences for refusing to hear or believe the plain truth about the light-skinned soap opera black (that New Age Oprah cast her spell for over her touchy-feely audience and cursed America by promoting Obama's books - undoubtedly ghost-written - and now many are crying).

It was a sin to vote for Obama. In light of the dark days the United States has experienced under the president usurper, the fraud and foreigner, the con man from Kenya, the bastard from Africa - Obama/Soetoro/Obama -enabled by conservative cowards to occupy the Oval Office and pollute the White House, it's befitting to review and reflect upon the self-evident truths BLACK DAY IN AMERICA: Obama Wins, America Loses -

What nation in its right mind, after 9/11, after Osama (at least his collaboration with the powers that be on it), after our alleged war on terrorism, would elect a questionable and dark character who is pro-Muslim, raised during his influential years in Muslim countries, has attended a hateful Afro-racist congregation that preaches anti-American and anti-white sermons typical of Black Liberation Theology, is endorsed by avowed Black racists and rabid Nazi Muslims, etc. would let Barack Hussein Obama even entertain the notion of running for president for a second? It certainly appears America is under a curse and those who treacherously voted for that fraud and foreigner are helping to make Marxist Jeremiah Wright’s wish come true that God damn America. Shame!

Jeremiah Wright, Al Sharpton, Barack Obama, Louis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson and others all represent the curse of reverse discrimination, the tail wagging the dog, the animals running the farm, the serious consequences for White Israelite disobedience to God.

Deuteronomy 28:43
43 “The alien [Gentile] who is among you shall rise higher and higher above you, and you shall come down lower and lower.

Deuteronomy 17:15
15
...you shall surely set a king over you whom the LORD your God chooses; one from among your [white Israelite] brethren you shall set as king over you; you may not set a foreigner over you, who is not your brother.

We've failed to learn from history and have an illegitimate president elect; we've been deaf, dumb and blind to the two witnesses of raped Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe ruins) and besieged South Africa (that testify against our madness); and we've rejected common sense. Now we'll have hell to pay for it! God save us all!

"I will say, then, that I AM NOT NOR HAVE EVER BEEN in favor of bringing about in any way the social and political equality of the black and white races---that I am not, nor ever have been, in favor of making voters or jurors of Negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with White people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the White and black races which will ever FORBID the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together, there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I, as much as any other man, am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the White race."

Independence Day

Living Church of God Commentary: "Declaring Our Dependence on God"

By Roderick C. Meredith | Sabbath, July 03, 2010

Independence Day is a time to celebrate freedom. But many Americans-even many who call themselves Christians-fail to realize that they are NOT free. Many are slaves to sin. Some even twist Christ’s words and preach that God’s law is done away. From the very beginning, some have tried to pervert God’s grace into license. We read in Romans 6, verses 14 through 16: "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one’s slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?"

As Romans 6:18 indicates, "having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness." What about you? Are you a slave of sin? Or have you been set free from sin-a slave of righteousness? As millions across the United States reflect on their freedom on Independence Day this July 4, how should a Christian view his physical freedom-and his spiritual freedom?

Certainly a Christian should be grateful for the freedom that God has given to citizens of the United States, and the many blessings that are foretold in scripture. But we know that these blessings came about because of God’s faithfulness to His promises-not because the United States has been faithful to God.

For especially in the last few decades, we have SHOCKINGLY abandoned the God-given values that allowed the United States to become a great nation. And we see that, just as Scripture prophesied, we are LOSING those blessings. Before the end has come-probably within the lifetimes of most of you listening to me-the American people will lose their freedom and go into a national slavery prophesied in your Bible!

But you as an individual can escape this frightening outcome. If you let Jesus Christ live His holy and righteous life in you, you can begin to overcome sin, and can live the kind of life that God intended. Galatians 2, verse 20, describes what happens to a converted Christian: "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me."

Christ CAN live in you! He MUST live in you if you are to overcome sin and live the life He wants for you! What an awesome blessing that is! As Christians living in a nation that has given us wonderful freedom to live God’s way and to preach His true gospel, we can be deeply grateful for the blessings that we celebrate on Independence Day. But as grateful as we may be for our nation’s independence, we must as Christians be even more grateful to declare our DEPENDENCE on our beloved Savior, who alone can free us from sin.

Morbid but mature

Yesterday I prearranged my cremation and found it morbid but mature. Why leave it for others to do?
